What the Holy Bible says about Prayer:
41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26: 41)
16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. (James 5: 16)
19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” (Matthew 18: 19-20)
22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” (Matthew 21: 22)
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5: 18)
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. (Romans 8: 26)

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. (Luke 18: 1)
