What the Holy Bible says about Miscarriage:
25 Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, 26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span. (Exodus 23: 25-26)
19 Then the priest shall put the woman under oath and say to her, “If no other man has had sexual relations with you and you have not gone astray and become impure while married to your husband, may this bitter water that brings a curse not harm you. 20 But if you have gone astray while married to your husband and you have made yourself impure by having sexual relations with a man other than your husband”— 21 here the priest is to put the woman under this curse—“may the Lord cause you to become a curse among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell. 22 May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries.” “‘Then the woman is to say, “Amen. So be it.” (Numbers 5: 19-22)
27 If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse. 28 If, however, the woman has not made herself impure, but is clean, she will be cleared of guilt and will be able to have children. (Numbers 5: 27-28)
10 Their bulls never fail to breed; their cows calve and do not miscarry. (Job 21: 10)
14 Give them, Lord— what will you give them? Give them wombs that miscarry and breasts that are dry… 17 My God will reject them because they have not obeyed him; they will be wanderers among the nations. (Hosea 9: 10, 17)
Something worth considering:
It appears that miscarriage is literally a Curse. Curses may have been passed down from one’s ancestors. Curses may have been spoken over a person or family by an enemy or even themselves. Curses may have been spoken with intention or without the person being fully aware that they have spoken a curse. But curses can be broken and replaced with blessings.
When Jesus died on the cross He became a curse for us and set us free from curses. Jesus became a blessing for us and has made blessings available to us:
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. (Galatians 3: 13-14)
