What the Holy Bible says about Evolution:
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1: 1)
20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1: 20-21)
27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1: 27)
Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. 2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. 4 This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, when the Lord God made the earth and the heavens. (Genesis 2: 1-4)
Something worth considering:
“Micro-evolution” is about how traits of a specific species change. While the traits of a specific species may change, the species remains the same species. The changes in traits tend to take place relatively quickly. The theory of micro-evolution is easily supported based on an abundance of evidence. Intelligent design and Micro-evolution do not conflict.
- An example of natural selection (survival of the fittest): Black moths who live on trees with black trunks have an advantage over identical moths who are white because the black moths have better camouflage from its predators. The moths who survive are the ones who procreate the next generation of moths. Eventually there will be more black moths than white moths in that geographical area. The features of a moth may vary but the moth remains a moth. The species does not change into a different species.
- An example of artificial selection: Humans intentionally breed specific traits within a species of plants or animals. This is often used in an attempt to create crops that are disease-resistant and higher producing. While they may be successful in selectively manipulating a species’ traits, they have not actually created a different species.
“Macro-evolution” is about one species evolving into an entirely different species. This theory hypothesizes that all living things originated from random combinations of various elements which gradually evolved over a very long period of time (e.g. millions or billions of years) and that different species evolved from one species. Intelligent design and Macro-evolution conflict.
- Macro-evolution has yet to be proven. Although the “Theory of Evolution” is being taught throughout the world as if it is “fact” — it is still only a theory, not a fact. Despite decades of searching, there remains no actual scientific evidence to support macro-evolution. There have been a few claims of evidence that were later all shown to be misidentifications and/or intentional fabrications.
- If the theory of macro-evolution is true and the world evolved over millions of years, why don’t any of the billions of fossils that have been found show even one example of a species in a transitional state of evolving into a different species?
